Contemporary Design Interiors offers two types of wallpaper and works with our clients to help decide which best suits their needs.

Type II

Our Type II designer wallpaper is a medium-duty wall covering. It weighs between 20 and 32 oz. per linear yard (based on a 54” width) and is produced on Osnaburg (poly-cotton or polyester) or non-woven fabric backing.

Type II is considered the “workhorse” among vinyl wall coverings and is typically specified for areas where greater than normal traffic and surface abrasion is evident or expected. It is ideal for offices, hospital wards, public areas and rooms in hotels, lounges, dining rooms, public corridors and classrooms.

Duraprene (Green Design/Sustainable Surface Imaging)

Our designs are also created using Duraprene sustainable wall coverings – a green alternative to vinyl. All Duraprene products are produced with water-based inks and have a recycled fiber content of 50% wood pulp from sustainable managed forests, 40% post-industrial waste, and 10% post-consumer waste.
